This is to inform you that there has been a Security Patch update in the Paybooks software. We have ensured that all the necessary checks were done, however, there are chances that some of the salary component mappings could have been affected. 

We have provided the steps to ensure the corrective action is followed before processing the current month's payroll.

Salary Component Mapping

We would like you to check the mapping of the predefined Salary components. 

There are pre-configured rules that are set in the system. You need to map the created components to apply the respective configurations.

You need to make sure that the component mapping is done to the respective Component head under “Map to.”

For E.g., HRA should be mapped to ITHRA under the “Map To” option. If it is not 

mapped to ITHRA, then the HRA exemption will not be calculated.

Likewise, please check for all the components.

Please follow the below steps

On the Home page click on “Settings” in the right-hand corner

Click on “Salary Components”

Click on “View/Edit”

If the “Map to” option is showing as “—Select--”, you need to map it to the respective Component.

Below is the list of the components under the “Map to” drop-down

For example, the salary component Notice Pay earnings should be mapped to Notice Pay in the “Map to” drop-down, and Notice Pay recovery should be mapped to Notice Recovery.

Click "Save".
