You can set up compensatory off (comp-off) expiry rules, i.e., define how and when earned comp-offs expire.
On the Home Page, click “Transactions.”
Scroll down to Time Tracking, Management
Click “Comp Offs.”
Click “Configure Comp Off Rules” under “Configure”.
Select the branch “Branch” from the drop-down. If the rules are different for each branch, then select each branch and configure accordingly.
Select a category in the “Category” drop-down, i.e., based on designation, department, level, and cost center.
Please note that the category, once selected and saved, cannot be changed.
Calculate Weekdays: You can specify the number of working days after which the comp-off should expire. For instance, entering '5' means the comp-off will expire after 5 days.
Calculate Week Off: If you have worked on a week off, and if you have specified the number of days as 2, then within two days the comp off should be applied. For example, if you have worked on a Sunday, then you can apply for comp off within two days, i.e., Monday and Tuesday.
Calculate Holiday Off: If you have worked on a holiday and the days set is 2, then within two days after the holiday, the comp off should be applied. For example if you have worked on a holiday say 1st Jan, then you can apply for comp off within two days i.e. 2nd and 3rd Jan.
Calculate Expiry From: Choose whether the expiry countdown starts from the 'Worked Date'- date worked—or the 'Approved Date' -the date the comp-off was approved.
Apply Settings: After configuring the above parameters, click the 'Apply' button to enforce these rules for the selected branch and employee category.
Encash Comp-Off: Enable this option to allow employees in certain categories to convert their unused comp-off days into monetary compensation
Click “Apply.” All these rules will be applied to the selected branch and category of employees, which can be viewed in the grid list.
Click “Save.”
Expiry days can also be altered for selected categories separately in the grid list. Once changes are done, click "Save" again.
