Reporting Manager is the person to whom an employee directly reports and takes instructions/advice from them. The Reporting is above the employee in the organization’s hierarchy.
Reporting Managers will have access to Approve/Reject Leaves & Reimbursement requests raised by their subordinates.

You can assign the Reporting Manager in bulk using the Import option.
You need to first ensure that the person you are going to assign as the Reporting Manager is mapped as a manager.
Check the box” Is a reporting Manager” under the “Official tab” of the Employee Record.
To Import Reporting Manager
On the Home page, click “Transactions”.
Under Core HR, click “Assign Reporting Manager”.
Click “Import Reporting Manager” under “Import”.
Click Download Template here.
Please enter the Employee code and Employee name in the respective column only.
Fill in the Reporting Manager Column and save the file to the local drive.
Click “Choose File”
Select the file and click “Import”.
The Reporting Manager will now reflect in the Employee’s record.
