The Pay Variance helps you compare and analyze the payroll variance component wise between two months i.e., the current processed month and the previous processed month.
You can run the variance report by selecting the months for comparison employee wise and component wise.
In the generated variance report you can update and save your remarks for your future reference.
On the Home page, click “Payroll.”
Scroll down to “Reports”.
Click “Pay Variance”
Select the “From” and “To” comparing months from the drop down.
Filter based on Department/Designation/Branch/Cost Center.
To check employee wise you can enter the Employee Code/Name
Click “List”
The details of the salary components processed, and the names of the employees will be displayed.
Select the Salary Components and Employee you would like to compare.
You can also select “All”.
Click “View”.
The components for the previous and current month along with the difference if any will be displayed.
You can analyze the reason for the difference and enter your remark in the respective Remarks column.
Click “Save”.
Click “Saved reports with comments can be viewed here”.
You will be taken to the “Pay Variance Remarks View”.
Select the “From Month” and “To Month”.
Click “View”
The report with the remarks will be displayed here.
The remarks saved can be viewed by generating the “Pay Variance with Remarks Report”.
